Shining Mountain Thoroughbreds is located on 20 beautiful acres about 5 miles northwest of Hamilton, 45 miles south of Missoula in the scenic Bitterroot valley of western Montana. The property is comfortably devided into 5 luxurious, sweeping pastures and several smaller turn out and holding pens. There is a 60 foot round pen for working horses outside and a spacious 100 by 150 foot lighted indoor arena for getting in out of the heat or cold or wet weather. We have 16 12 by 12 stalls and 2 12 by 16 foaling stalls in 2 breezeways attached to the indoor arena, so if the weather is bad, you and your horse will never have to go outside. The stalls all have rubber matted floors and ground level corner feeders so your horses can eat with their heads down as they are meant to do. No reaching up to overhead hay racks with the accompanying dust and chaff problems. The stalls and breezeways are all lighted and the breezeways are of no slip concrete. Shining Mountain Thoroughbreds is easily reached from highway 93 and has plenty of room for maneuvering trailers and commercial horse vans.

The owners of all horses boarded at Shining Mountain Thoroughbreds have unlimited access to our 100 by 150 indoor arena. There is also easy access to many mountain and wilderness trails as well as some fairly quiet roads that may also be explored. The indoor arena is also open to the general public for a small fee. Clinicians and groups are welcome.

Bridlorann $5000 - 2005 chestnut Thoroughbred filly standing 16.2 hands and weighing 1175 pounds. This filly is by a son of Unbridled out of a Vigors granddaughter from a very nice winning family. This filly is a gorgeous mover and would be an outstanding race, show or eventing prospect. No vices, but not for beginners. Very smooth, fluid gaits and covers a lot of ground.
