Shining Mountain Thoroughbreds offers a wide variety of services. Horse owners can be as involved and hands on as they like or can leave the entire care and management of their horses up to us in the knowledge that their horses will be taken care of in a professional, safe, and thorough manner. Attention to detail, with no detail being too small, is the mainstay of our operation. Rates can be customized to fit each owner's needs and level of involvement in the horse's maintainance and upkeep.
Monthly: $300.00
Board rates include a 12 by 12 stall bedded with shavings, daily stall cleaning, daily turn out, and owner's choice of top quality alfalfa or grass hay fed twice a day. Straw bedding, additional feedings, supplements, or grain are available at additional cost based on individual needs which I will be glad to work with owners to customize. At certain times of the year, larger stalls may be available atadditional cost. All horses boarded atShining Mountain Thoroughbreds also receive arena privilidges for the indoor arena at no additional cost for the horse(s) boarded with us.
Groups in pastures are kept small in order to avoid overgrazing. Horses are grouped according to age and temperment.
This rate includes the board for the horse under the same terms as above as well as being ridden or handled (in the case of young horses in for ground work) 6 days a week. Horses will be given 1 day a week off, usually Fridays.

If you would like your horse to have more exercise than just daily turn out or your horse is on stall confinement and needs hand walking but you can't come out to provide it your self, I can ride your horse for you as necessary and am more than willing to hand walk horses in need of gentle exercise.
